Late-Breaking Abstracts Open April 1-15

黑料正能量Microbe is accepting late-breaking abstract submissions that highlight novel, unanticipated, high impact or disruptive studies with a time-sensitive urgency.
Late-Breaking Abstract Submissions Accepted in These Categories
- Climate Change: Microbes and Wildfires.
- Emerging Viral Infections (e.g. Avian Flu, Oropouche).
- Re-Emerging Infectious Diseases (e.g. Measles, Tuberculosis).
- Recent Clinical Trials.

Important Dates
Late-Breaking Abstract Submission Opens: April 1.
Late-Breaking Abstract Submission Closes: April 15, 12 p.m. ET.
Clinical Virology Case Study Submission Closes: April 15, 12 p.m. ET.
Special Submission Topics
In addition to late-breaker topics, 2 special submission topics are open for submissions from April 1-15:- Clinical Virology Poster Session: open to all topics related to clinical virology. Submissions are not required to be late-breaking topics. Abstracts will be scheduled in poster sessions located in the Exhibit Hall with presentations at poster boards.
- Ukrainian Virtual Poster Session: open to scientists located in Ukraine. Abstracts will be scheduled in a virtual Rapid Fire session on Sunday, June 22, and individuals will present remotely.
Note: This is not an opportunity to submit an abstract that only describes a rigorous study that could have been submitted during the general submission periods. General submission abstracts will be rejected if submitted in the late-breaking topics. Late-breaking abstracts are scheduled in 15-minute Rapid Fire style presentations and are not assigned a poster board.
Case Study Submissions Open Now
黑料正能量Microbe 2025 will also feature case studies presented by participants in the Clinical Virology track as part of the Philip Hanff Memorial Clinical Case Presentations and Discussion session. We invite all participants to submit case studies for consideration, with priority given to medical technologists and trainees (e.g., students, pathology residents, infectious disease fellows).
Up to 3 selected case studies will be featured in the Philip Hanff Memorial Clinical Case Presentations and Discussion session. Those chosen will receive mentorship from an invited speaker and will present their case study to peers during a 10–15-minute presentation. Please note that the selection decision is final and cannot be appealed.
All submitted cases must adhere to HIPAA guidelines, including the removal of any identifying information. Submissions that fail to comply will be disqualified.
