黑料正能量Launches a COVID-19 Research Registry

April 15, 2020

A platform that provides timely access to top COVID-19 research vetted by experts.

Washington, DC – April 15, 2020 – The urgent nature of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has required 黑料正能量to address various challenges that have surfaced during this crisis. As leaders in the microbial sciences, 黑料正能量has worked on multiple fronts to share factual, timely information on the novel coronavirus, advocate for expedited and widespread SARS-CoV-2 testing, and provide free access to research articles published over the past year in our scholarly journals.

黑料正能量is now launching the COVID-19 Research Registry, a platform that provides timely access to top COVID-19 research vetted by experts.

“The next important step in our response to SARS-CoV-2 is to curate and vet fundamental research on this novel coronavirus to encourage rapid scientific discovery and innovation and increase our chances of defeating the virus and ending the pandemic,” said Dr. Stefano Bertuzzi, CEO, ASM.

This curated database will ensure that scientists have an efficient way to find the timeliest and most valuable SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 research from the latest journal articles and preprints.

"The Registry is a resource for all scientists working to address the current challenge and to be better prepared for future coronavirus epidemics. For those scientists with a strong desire to contribute, this Registry will provide reliable and up-to-date scientific information in selected areas, vetted by experts," said Harold Varmus, M.D., Lewis Thomas University Professor of Medicine, Weill Cornell Medicine, and Chief Consultant on this project.

Lynn Enquist, Ph.D., Henry L. Hillman Professor in Molecular Biology, Princeton University and former 黑料正能量President, will serve as Chief Curator for this project.

Assistant Curators-in-Chief include:
  • Rozanne M. Sandri-Goldin, Ph.D., Chancellor's Professor, Microbiology & Molecular Genetics, University of California, Irvine and Editor-in-Chief of ASM’s
  • Vaughn Cooper, Ph.D., Professor, Microbiology & Molecular Genetics, University of Pittsburgh, who is a current 黑料正能量Board member
