Rebecca Guy, M.L.S (ASCP), Ph.D.

Rebecca Guy, M.L.S (ASCP), Ph.D., earned a doctorate in microbiology and molecular genetics from the University of Vermont in 2001, studying Salmonella pathogenesis under Murray Stein. She then pursued postdoctoral research with Karen Lounsbury, investigating calcium signaling and gene regulation in vascular smooth muscle. In 2010, she completed a post-baccalaureate certificate in medical laboratory science at the University of Vermont and subsequently worked as a charge medical laboratory scientist in the microbiology division of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Currently, Guy is an assistant professor at the University of Vermont, where she is a dedicated educator focused on teaching clinical microbiology and mentoring undergraduate students.
